I don't have an awesome sewing room like my Blog Friend Forever, Joni. So, when the machine comes out, I usually end up sewing a couple projects in one evening. When I remade my curtain panel, I decided to also stitch a few pillows for my couch. I had purchased a table runner a few years back for $2 at Home Goods.
Since my kitchen table is 6 1/2 feet long, most table runners are too short. I tend to find other uses for the cheap table runners I purchase. Since this runner was two pieces of fabric sewn together, it was the perfect ingredient for some quick pillows. Piper and Annie were my helpers.
I cut the runner into 4 sections, stuffed the pillow and sewed up the remaining open side.
They helped cheer up my slip-covered couch. Place mats also work great for quick pillows. What interesting materials have you used to make a pillow?
I love these!!! I have got to get some fabric!!!
