Salsa and Moles is a fun recipe book filled with ideas for sauces and dips and salsas. I thoroughly enjoyed the glossy pages filled with pictures and easy to follow recipes. I also loved reading different ways to incorporate these sauces/dips into my cooking.
I have made my own salsa and guacamole for years - not enough for canning or mass storage, but just enough to enhance an individual meal. After reading this book, I have a few new cooking techniques to try and some creative ingredients to incorporate.
I received this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review.
I was a little shocked when I received A Heart's Obsession by Colleen Coble. I was expecting a regular sized novel but instead received this little 100 page book. After a little research I discovered that this book was meant to introduce some new readers to this author's work. Taking two of her previously written novels, the publishers made 6 small stories into individual little books.
The story was well written but I felt like it picked up in the middle of the tale. And the pages ended before I felt that the story was resolved. I understand that it is meant to welcome new readers to Coble's writing, but it seemed a waste of time without having all of the other booklets.
