A few weeks ago, I spotted an awesome DIY project a friend of mine had posted on Instagram. I was in love!
And so, I asked Ashley if I could share her fun project on the blog.
I just love the way the finished project looks on her couch. She simply made a pillow out of some spare material ( I am planning to use some left over fabric from this project in Hudson's room). After printing out the letters in a font that she liked, she traced and painted her last name with craft paint. And it looks fabulous.
I'm a bit obsessed with initials and names used in decor (like my big "C" in the kitchen)
And so, as soon as I have a spare minute, you can bet I'll be adding my own version of this pillow to our old couch.
Anyone else going to give this a try? This would also be cute using a patterned fabric for the background.
I just dug through all my scrap material today. Tried to organize it a little better!

DeleteYay! Thanks for making my feeble efforts at sewing look good! :) I also love initials and our last name displayed. In our bedroom, we have these off-white boards that each have a tin letter on them and when displayed vertically they spell out JONES. I'll have to take a pix and "instagram" it! I found them at a flea market in OH and was "in love" :)
