I realize that since I announced that a baby was on the way, I have become quite the slacker as far as the blog goes. It's not because I no longer think of ideas. It's because I want to make all things for the baby -- but I don't know if I can plan for blue things or pink things! Or, this baby just makes me tired!
I did try out something I read on another blog recently - I love my Easy to Make/DIY Chalkboard in our kitchen (see how I made it here). But I feel like my words are often faded looking. I read, however, that if you will dip your chalk into some water, it will dry darker.
And it did!

When I first wrote the words, they seemed more faded than ever. But as the chalk dried, it got darker and darker.
Now I just have to figure out how to make the background look pretty. When I wipe it off, it looks nice, but as time goes on, previous chalk dust begins to appear.
So, I'll keep searching for a solution to that. I wonder if it is a weird effect of the spray paint chalkboard paint...or if I just don't know how to properly erase. ha.
And as an update...I finished my address file. My sister let me borrow her little alphabet stamps.
And I love it!
The tabs turned out nicely! And you have such nice hand writing :)
