Spring Wreath Update

After making my spring wreath here, I was feeling that it was missing something.

Some suggested a big bow..I'm not a big bow type of girl (I do know how to make those big fluffy bows though).

This afternoon, I came up with a little idea to spruce up the corner of the the wreath - and it's much more my style.  I simply printed some letters onto my book page. I used the free Chardin Dohile font (You can find the free font to download it here). Since our printer was a little low on ink, I only printed the outline of the font. I then filled in the letters with a regular black sharpie. I wanted there to be a stark contrast against the book page text.

After cutting the pennants out (just a simple triangle shape) I stapled them onto a piece of cream yarn. Shocking, I know that I didn't use hot glue. But the stapler provided the look and stability I was going for.  I then tied the strings to the grapevine.

This just goes to prove that a crafter's work is never done...And I'm so glad that it doesn't have to be!
