On the road...

We took Hudson on his first road trip last week. A six hour trip was about his limit (with a baby - that's about my limit too!).

He did so well! It was so great to spend a few days with Grammy and Papaw Cook.

Thanks to Facetime, Hudson was familiar with their voices and faces - technology is great!

While Jeremiah helped his dad on the farm, I went up to my parent's home in Virginia. Hudson was glad to also get some quality time with Nana and Pawpaw Covey.

A while back, one set of Hudson's great grandparents came to visit us in Tennessee.

He was able to meet his other great grandparents, some aunts, an unlce and some cousins on this trip. We still have more to meet.

Hudson though Pa was so funny.

It was a great way for me to spend my birthday - with family! (And we had some pretty awesome cupcakes too!)

As the day progressed, more family arrived.

Four generations...pretty special.  Hudson loved every minute of it.

Hudson really seemed to thrive that week - he, all of a sudden, became very aware of his surrounding. And would follow me with his eyes everywhere I went.

I may be biased but I think he gets cuter and cuter each day.

We can't wait until our next trip!
