I Love Not Camping

A few months back, I found a Pin via Pinterest that described my thoughts towards camping...

Pin found here.
Jeremiah and I have laughed over this a few times since. He would love to take a wilderness excursion - me?...not so much.

A friend of mine once said, "I'm outdoorsy...if it involves outlet shopping or sitting by the pool."

I don't mind a good nature walk if it's sunny and there are pretty sites to see. Two summers ago, Jeremiah's family went to the Grand Canyon.

We stayed in a cute little cabin surrounded by beautiful scenery!

I agreed to take a "short" hike one day. I thought we were going to take a leisurely stroll along a paved path to see some of the wonderful sites

Little did I know "hiking at the Grand Canyon" meant HIKING for a VERY LONG TIME. I'm sure glad I wore my tennis shoes!

We did see some beautiful sites -

...but the day ended in a thunderstorm. I led the pack back to the car - not because I loved hiking, but because I didn't want to be soaked! That was a bit too much adventure for me.

Summer Camp as a kid, was not a fun experience. Although I did work at a couple summer camps for three summers, I didn't lead the nature hikes or light the campfire -

I managed the bookstore and snack shack! And at both camps, that involved repainting and redecorating.

I did come across some camping "Pinspiration," though. If I could have a camper like this, I might be persuaded to camp a little. (Although, I'm sure this is not Jeremiah's idea of a week in the wilderness). I would be giddy with excitement to have a camper - if I could make it look like these. (And if there was a place to have a hot shower where-ever we were camping.)
