Free Paint Saturday!

ACE Hardware is at it again! They are offering a free quart of their paint (you pick the color) while supplies last this Saturday (August 4th).

You can actually paint a lot with a quart of good paint. I painted our entire master bathroom with one quart (mind you, it is a very small room). And I also painted this lovely table and chairs with a quart of ACE free paint.

Do you have any projects in mind? What will you use your free paint for? I'm hoping to stock up on some colors that may get used for future projects. It's a great way to get some funky colors.

Remember, it is only "while supplies last" - so get there early. And it will be a flat paint.

I plan to get my free paint and then head across the street to Goodwill's half-price Saturday. (In Chattanooga, everything in Goodwill is half price on the first Saturday of each month.) I'm hoping to score some maternity clothes and maybe some nursery items...I'm still on the hunt for a Jenny Lind crib, a dresser, a rocking chair/glider, etc.

Every Birthday Deserves Some Freebies

I love a birthday - I love the cards in the mail, the excitement of waking up on your day, the phone calls from family members, and the little surprises from people who care. (See how my family celebrated birthdays here) Since my birthday is right around the corner, I have noticed my email inbox has quickly filled with free offers and coupons to help me celebrate the big day.

For example, yesterday, I was able to get any drink, any size, with any extras from Starbucks for absolutely free! I am also drooling as I think about my free burger from Red Robin. I also received a free cheese fondue (no purchase necessary) from the Melting Pot. And last year, World Market gave me $10 to spend any way I chose. I was even able to combine the $10 with a $10 off $20 coupon, helping me to score 12 free drinking glasses. There are all kinds of offers available from restaurants and businesses to help you feel special.

One of the easiest ways to make sure that you receive all these freebies is by visiting Birthday Freebies.  After selecting your location, Birthday Freebies will show you all the offers available to you in your area. Usually, it requires takes signing up for a business' mailing/email list. And while you're at it, sign your spouse up too! Then you can enjoy super cheap dates twice a year!

Free Paint at ACE this Saturday

Got a project you've been contemplating? ACE Hardware is giving out free quarts of their new line of paint - Clark and Kensington.

What can you paint with a quart? My front door took less than 1/2 quart to paint. Give your front door a new spring makeover! It will just take a little time - the paint will be free!

Big Fat Check Time

It's that time again - the time when my "Big Fat Check" comes in the mail from Ebates. I am surprised every time. This time, it was only a whopping $7.43. But hey, I'll take that!

"What is Ebates?" you may ask. It's a site that gives you cash back for your online purchases. Hundreds of stores are eligible. Each store has a different percentage of cash back that they offer.

"How might I get a 'Big Fat Check'? you may ask.

1. Sign up here. It's free and painless. Right now, you'll even get a $10 gift card just for registering once you spend $25 at one of the online stores using Ebates.
2. Pick a store in the top left hand corner of the website.
3. Shop online!
4. Receive a "Big Fat Check" each quarter.

Then, each time you are about to make an online purchase (big or small...it all adds up), check Ebates first. If the store is featured, you might as well get a little cash back! Select the store - Ebates will direct you to the store's website. Then, shop as normal. After2 days or so, you can see your accumulating "cash-back" on your Ebates account. I've received over $200 cash back since joining Ebates in 2009. And if I would remember to check here first, it could have been even more.

It's as simple as that! When I was planning my wedding, I ordered everything through this site. Now, that was a REALLY "Big Fat Check." Priceline is also feature here - Jeremiah booked our honeymoon through our Ebates account. Plane tickets, hotels, Walmart purchases, Target, Ebay...you get the picture.

Just think...you're saving gas money and getting cash back. Can't beat that! And Ebates will show you promotions for free shipping and discounts.

If you already purchase things online, you might as well get a little of that money back!

Simple Savings...

Now that I am a stay-at-homer (my new terminology since I am not a Stay-at-home Mom...), I am excited to get back into couponing. When I have the time to sit down and clip coupons, we really do save a ton of money. Lately, I have resorted to shopping at Aldi. Their prices are considerably lower for many of our regularly purchased grocery items. This morning, Ashlee and I even when to the local Dollar Tree. The one closest to our house has a freezer section. I got Pork sausage for $1 (12 oz. - Walmart is $3 for 16 oz.), 32 oz. bag of seasoned french fries, sweet potato fries....Well worth the $1 each pricetag.

This is a free subscription here...no strings attached. They will not send you a bill. I have received magazines from this company before. Simply enter your address and email address. You don't have to select for them to send you future promotions. After you "Submit" your information, they will show you other offers. You can simply close the window at this point. It says that you will never receive a bill. Your first issue should arrive in 6 to 10 weeks. Hurry to sign up for this one...they don't last long.

P&G Brand Sampler has released lots of new free samples and coupons! Head on over and login or register to request yours! After registering, you can select what products you want to sample and receive coupons for. I usually select everything...you never know what's going to be on sale! And I can give the diapers away.
