Hudson Says: "Sometimes we have a dog..."

Another post written by Hudson...

So, sometimes, we have a dog...

Sometimes, my cousin Pippa brings her dog over to stay with us. They tell me her name is Annie. She eats whatever food I drop.

I try to talk to her all the time, but she just sleeps.

I thought if I would pet her, then she might want to play with me.

But she didn't...she just ran away.

Then, I realized why she likes this bed and blanket so much.

It's pretty great.

I've got to get me one of these!

Annie can have my toys.

Maybe one day we will be friends.

Hudson Says: "I'm 7 Months old and on the move"

(This post is brought to you by Hudson...our little mover)

Hi! I'm Hudson... I'm seven months old. And I still haven't figured out why mom lays me on this big calender every once in a while. I guess it shows you how much I'm growing.  I've come a long ways since my one month picture.

No, I'm not  sucking my thumb...I'm gnawing on it. Sometimes my gums hurt...and this helps. I'm eating lots of fun foods now. My favorite so far is pears and bananas and sweet potatoes...If it's a food I really like, I say, "UMMMMM" with every bite.

I'm also working on mastering the sippy cup. And I love to play.

At my six month check up I weighed 14 pounds and 14 ounces. The doctor says I'm right on track! I think mom was afraid I'd jump off the scales.

I like to move around a lot these days.

I don't stay in the same place for very long.

It's just more fun this way.

I'm figuring out that I can scoot to just about anywhere. For some reason, I rarely scoot on my belly. I can go farther when I'm on my back. However, it's a little hard to see where I'm going that way.

Has it REALLY been seven months already? I can't believe it!

Well, I guess it has been that long.

I think it's time to roll back over...

...and grab my toes. Did you know I can do this?

Hudson Says: My little green chair...

While mom's washing my clothes (I just can't figure out how to not spit up...) I thought I'd help her out and write today's Friday Find Under $5.

I'm not sure if you have met my mom or not...but she is always painting something...

And this week was no exception! I was just hanging out in my Bumbo seat...one minute she's talking to me in high pitched tones. The next minute, she's got out her sponge brush and a free quart of paint from ACE.

She tells me that this little project was for me. She bought this little chair that would convert into a stool for 50 cents.

I'm told that's a pretty good deal.  And she keeps picking up little wooden toys for me.

She kept saying something about that ACE paint with the primer built in would cover anything, making it great for thrift store finds. I guess it was a pretty easy thing to paint once she got that stubborn sticker off the front.

But I told mom she needs a challenge every once in a while.

I was ready to try this chair out right away. But mom said it had to dry.

And so I waited...

And waited...and chewed on my hands some...

and played on my playmat...

and waited some more.

And finally, it was time to give it a try.

Mom insisted on holding me up...I guess I'm not as steady as I think I am. Ignore my spit up splatter...it's pretty common these days.

And then I flipped the back of the seat to the ground and tried it out as a step stool.

I'm sure that I can soon use this little item to get into all kinds of fun places!

Hudson Says: "Walk it out..."

"Walk it out..." - that's the phrase my 5 year old neighbor. Abbi uses when you take a vigorous walk. And since it has been so sunny, Mom has got in her head that we should take a walk everyday.

And that's makes me happy! Yeah for walks!

So, when we came home from church today, I got on my workout clothes...(aka my "Walk it out" clothes) as soon as I could.

I was so excited that my tennis shoes fit! I am sure they make all the difference!

Wohoo! I was ready to explore the neighborhood. But as soon as mom puts me in that stroller and starts walking...

...I can't keep my eyes open! It's just so relaxing  I have yet to see the neighborhood. I don't even last til we get out of the driveway.

But I'll tell you one thing...that walking will make you happy. As soon as we get home, I am ready to kick and wiggle and take on the world.

Just make sure that you stretch after any exercising! I made sure to lean to the left and lean to the right...

And make sure that you wear a hat...to protect your little ears.

Although, my gut is telling me that mom may be putting these hats on me just because it looks cute!

Since I had such a grand time, I asked mom, "Can we do this tomorrow?" And she said we could!

My advice to you is, "Get out there and enjoy this beautiful weather! Walk it out!"
